Bishop Kenwin Hunte is a native of Trinidad and Tobago and was born to Mable and Raymond Hunte. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as a youth and started preaching the gospel at the age of 14 years old. As a young man growing up he was always involved in multi-tasking at his local church in the area of Sunday school, youth and worship, evangelism and outreach.

Bishop Kenwin attended the New Testament Church of God Bible Institute in Trinidad for three years where he received a Diploma in Ministerial Studies, he then went on to the School of Pastoring and Preaching for one year and then completed his Ministerial Internship Program. Bishop Hunte is also a Certified Evangelism Explosion Teacher Trainer and have taught hundreds of believers how to share their faith. Bishop Kenwin received his Exhorter’s Certificate at the age of 21, he then moved to the rank of licensed minister and in June of 2001 he became an Ordained Bishop with the Church Of God. Prior to Bishop Kenwin’s migration he served as the Evangelism Director for the largest Church of God in Trinidad and Tobago in Montrose Chaguanas.

Bishop Kenwin Hunte migrated to the United States in 2001 and in 2007 he planted a church here in the United States, International Harvest Church of God. This church has grown from seven members and is now running approximately 150 members. Bishop Hunte is presently studying with the School of Ministry in Cleveland Tennessee and has obtained several Certificates in Ministerial Studies (CIMS). His present course of study is Planting and growing churches. In April of 2017, Bishop Hunte stepped out in faith and launched a mission in Clermont Florida, this began on a Sunday afternoon and in April of 2018, this ministry launched their Sunday morning and have then added a second midweek meeting. Bishop Hunte has been appointed this year by the Church of God Tampa Office as the head of “A Pastoral Covenant Group”.

Bishop Hunte is married to Suzanne Hunte, who also attended Bible School for 3 years and also received a Diploma in Ministerial studies, and she is also an Ordained Minister with the Church of God, he is the father of three children Kenwin Jr. Sarah and Stephanie and the father in law of Andrese Hunte and the grandfather of Haven and Lium. His son Kenwin Jr. is a graduate of Lee University and is and is also a Licensed minister with the Church Of God. His two daughters Sarah and Stephanie are also college students and both pursuing their degrees. He is a certified councelor and John Maxwell teacher/trainer and develops leadership and motivates entrepeneurs.

Bishop Hunte’s greatest passion is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and leading sinners to repentance. One of his favorite clichés is “What God orders He pays for.”

Bishop Hunte is sold out and committed to preaching, teaching and defending the Word of God. His desire is to share the gospel and win as many souls to heaven before time turns into eternity.
